Leili Abkar

I'm a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of British Columbia, funded by the NSERC-PDF program. With a Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering, I have extensive experience in water treatment, desalination, and membrane separation processes. I'm an expert in big data analysis and bioinformatics, with a growing proficiency in machine learning and artificial intelligence modeling techniques.
At the Beck Lab, I am expanding her expertise in microbiome studies of natural and engineered environments. I'm also investigating mechanisms of virus disinfection using various methods, including LPUV and UV-LEDs. My technical proficiencies include RStudio, Prism, Tableau, QIIM2, and ROSA.
